I do agree. The purpose of their message is to emphasize how as physicians, we hold great responsibility and must be taking care of ourselves first prior to being properly apt to care for the patient. If we ourselves are not cared for, our ability to care for the patient is impaired. More broadly, this applies to all aspects of life. If we are failing to take care of ourselves, it is more difficult to care for our children, support our friends, sick family members, etc.
