Things change so fast and faster than they did 100 years ago; everyone and everything has to keep up with that, and medicine professionalism is not out of this dilemma. As reality chances, the profession with its particularities has to adapt as well.

I believe the best way is to just remain tapped in to the daily events of medicine. What new technology is being developed? What new diseases are being discovered? What new ethical conflicts are arising? Ultimately, we will all have different interpretations on the evolution of medicine, but it is our obligation and in our best interest to remain educated with the evolution of medicine. Also, always be an effective communicator with those we work with and for. This will help clarify concerns and help us understand the daily challenges, both ethically and functionally, of our profession.
