I think medical professionalism is very important; sometimes it is not the most relevant thing we are evaluated for during residency, and it should be. It helps to learn about it when your tutor works with professionalism, and you learn from good examples.

I think the most important aspect to understand is that professionalism is not inherent. It is cultivated through the environment, experiences, and mistakes. As well-prepared and trained a person may be prior to starting practicing as a physician, they must be exposed to the real work setting to develop their professional skills and understand the risks of not living up to professional standards.
