Health services and vulnerable groups

In the Canary Islands, the first priority for improving health services to reduce adverse impacts on human rights is to ensure culturally competent care for the diverse population, including immigrants and vulnerable groups. Language barriers and lack of cultural understanding can prevent many from accessing quality care, violating their right to health. An actionable step would be to implement training programs for health professionals focused on cultural sensitivity and inclusive communication. Additionally, expanding interpretation services in public health centers would help overcome these barriers. By fostering an environment where everyone feels respected and understood, the Canary Islands can better protect human rights within health services.
