Public health is the art and science of disease prevention, prolongation of life and increase in the quality of lifestyle through the combined efforts of the community.
The methodology of public health is a stepwise approach which includes
1. Identification/Definition of the problem
2. Risk factor Identification
3. Surveillance
4. Implementation
The methods occur continuously and as such the methodology occurs in a cyclical form.
